How far along: 27 weeks - hello 3rd trimester...thank goodness. Once again, me and pregnancy don't get along :)
Baby Size: a cucumber Maternity clothes: Oh gosh yes. Pants are a no brainer - I can still get away with non-maternity shirts though. My belly is super sensitive and pants just don't feel good. Like low rise ones dig in and yet I HATE the full panel maternity pants so I'm basically screwed when it comes to pants. And yet I don't really have a choice since it's winter. I didn't have to worry about this with Camden since I just wore dresses and it was heaven!!! Stretch marks: Nope - using the same cream as I did with Camden - Burts Bees Mama Bee belly butter Sleep: lately it's been pretty decent actually. For a while there I was constantly getting up to use the bathroom or get something to eat but the last week has been decent. I certainly sleep as much as possible - I seriously can't get enough sleep!! Gender: A lil' girl - can you believe it?!?! :) I never thought I'd have a little girl so I am so excited!!!! Movement: Oh yeah - she moves a lot, especially at night. Her movements are getting painful even at times!! Looking forward to: meeting this sweet little girl and not being pregnant anymore ha-ha Food cravings: Definitely craving more savory items than sweet things - think bread, soups, kalamata olives, etc. Anything making you queasy or sick: luckily, not anymore. I was sooooo sick the first 20 weeks of this pregnancy - so awful!!! Labor Signs: Braxton Hicks contractions occasionally What I miss: running, lifting heavy weights, having a waist, having clothes that fit - ya know, all that sorta stuff. Symptoms: just a heaviness in the belly area (obviously ha-ha) My lower back hurts, especially when I sit a lot (like at work), my legs swell at work so I have to wear compression socks, and just all around big. I'm definitely carrying all over this pregnancy rather than mainly in my belly like I did with Camden. Nursery: I've got some new prints hung up and a crib sheet on but that's it. Right now it's just a storage area and we'll tackle this once the holidays are over. Belly Button in or out? In Wedding rings on or off? On Workouts: workouts? what are those?! Seriously, I'm lucky if I work out 3 times a week. And by work out - I mean walk for 30-40 minutes on the treadmill and that's it. I do try to hit the gym on Saturdays and Sundays. But honestly, working out just doesn't feel good this pregnancy. Things that suck: not being able to work out how I like to, the general achiness/heaviness of my belly - I just feel so stretched and I'm SO much bigger this time around! It really takes its toll on my body. Things that don't suck: Having Camden be so excited about his baby sister. He gives my belly kisses and just last week was able to feel the baby move.

Hello!! Yes, I'm alive. No, I didn't forget about this space of mine. I've actually been wanting to get back to posting regularly for quite some time now..but life has gotten away from me. Seriously - it's crazy. But as the year comes to a close, I figured it's now or never. My little man just turned 3 years old. We've got a bun in the oven (baby girl coming March 2018 - SURPRISE!) And there's just so many other things I'd like to capture on this blog. So here I am. I did just drop some big news about baby girl arriving in March. And I promise to start doing some weekly updates on this pregnancy (I'll be 27 weeks on Thursday...hello 3rd trimester!) But for right now, it's all about my little man. Camden turned 3 on November 12 and I just can't handle it. Seriously. - 3. It's such a big number. And he's changed so much that I just needed to get back to this space and give a proper update. The last time I did an update Camden had just turned 2 and a half. And let me tell ya - a lot happens in 6 months! So without further adieu... Camden is your typical 3 year old boy. And let me tell ya - he's ALL boy. Snakes. Villains, Dirt. Gross things. He loves it all. This kid genuinely loves to play. He is not one of those kids who has tons of toys and doesn't play with a single one. He has a ton of toys and plays with them ALL. He just loves to play. Pretend play is by far his favorite thing - whether it's good guys vs bad guys, playing with his new play house, or just playing a made up game with his figures or stuffed animals. He loves to wrestle/play fight with his daddy and I usually just sit back and watch them and shake my head - boys I tell ya LOL He's also really into games right now - Memory, Candy Land, and Hi Ho Cherry-O are his current favorites! He also loves family movie nights - which are Friday nights in our household. Right now he's pretty obsessed with the movie Sing and I sorta am too - such a cute movie!!
Camden is a super emotional kid and like any toddler his emotions can change in an instant. There's nothing like him giggling so hard he's almost crying to a full blown meltdown because the wrong thing was said or done to him - oy!! He's also the sweetest boy around - he's got a big heart and his hugs and kisses are just the BEST! He is totally potty trained and has been for quite a while (not overnight though.) He's a picky eater and basically we feed him the same things over and over again. His favorites include Wegmans unsweetened applesauce pouches, Plum Organics cherry, strawberry, black bean, and oat pouches, strawberries, raspberries, pretzels, pasta, black olives, and what we call monkey yogurt (Danimals Yogurt Smoothie) For protein he'll eat eggs (scrambled or hard boiled - white only), chicken, and quinoa - that's about it. And for veggies he'll eat broccoli and sweet potatoes - that's pretty much it. Like every toddler, he has quite a sweet tooth, with popsicles being his current favorite (though really anything sweet he loves ha-ha) He absolutely loves going to daycare and just this year they started Mother Goose Time, which has been great for Camden. He loves 'school' and has learned SO much!! He is still the smartest little kid and amazes us daily with what he knows (his newest trick is counting down backwards!) He can count to 30 and we are working on getting to 40. He works hard at school at tracing and we try to work with him at home as well. He's known all his letters for like a year or more so nothing new there. He's really into all the holidays - he loved Halloween and is now super into Christmas, which is super adorable and makes it all more fun and magical <3 He has a fantastic sense of humor and loves to play tricks on us and get us laughing. He absolutely LOVES bath time and would spend hours in there if we'd let him. He has become picky when it comes to clothes (wearing 2T) - it's comfy pants and shirts all the time and still prefers to just run around in just his undies. He hates wearing socks and we have to bribe him to wear jeans. He still does twice a day nebulizer treatments for his asthma. And he's super excited for his baby sister (for now at least!) That's pretty much our little guy in a nut shell. We think he's the VERY best and are loving every day with him! |
